Why Raichu?
First of all, I've got to
admit that Raichu is not the best (single) Electric type Pokémon.
If you want the best, use a
GameShark
or dedicate a lot of time to
getting Raikou, the legendary Pokémon. But for me,
I'll stay with my
Raichu (and go insane when I see Raikou in my Pokémon
Silver game).
Over two years ago, I
fell in love with Raichu when Pokémon was introduced to the United
States back in 1998. In my
Pokémon Red
game, my Raichu named
Rakurai was the first on my team to become level 100 (Of course, I had
Pokémon
like a level 30 Marowak on the team...)
Well, yes, I have been drawing my all-time favorite for a few years now,
and I'll slap myself silly and exclaim "WHAT WAS I THINKING! I SUCKED!" if I saw any of my very first drawings
(aka
scribbles
aka garbage) of Raichu.
Pikachu also plays a nice
role in this. How, you ask? Well it's true that since
Pikachu is SO popular, Raichu is
eclipsed in its shadow, but what is
also good is that when Pikachu gains new moves in the game,
Raichu also
gains them (Raichu can learn Hyper Beam, Pikachu can't! Nyah nyah Nya-
::gets thwapped::)!
Surfing Pikachu, meet our friend the Thunderstone! Mwahaha!
More reasons I love
Raichu is because it's so cute! A lot of people draw Raichu not only fat, but OBESE
(check out the
Pokémon Gold Raichu!), but oh well. ::sigh::
Raichu is also really cool looking (to me),
and has one of the cutest AND
coolest voices in the anime "RaaaaiiiiCHU!".
I love Raichu so much. *dork*
